REMEMBERING DREAMS REMEMBER.TXT ----------------------------------------------------------------------- THE FIRST STEP IN DREAM WORK IS TO BE ABLE TO CONSISTANTLY REMEMBER YOUR DREAMS IN DETAIL AND TO RECORD THEM. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1. KEEP A PEN, PAPER, AND A DIM LIGHT NEXT TO YOUR BED, WHERE YOU CAN REACH THEM EASILY. A SMALL CASSETTE TAPE RECORDER MAY ALSO BE USED. 2. SET UP A DREAM JOURNAL TO RECORD ALL THE DREAMS YOU REMEMBER IN. 3. RECORD (WRITE OR TAPE) "EVERY" DREAM, RECORD ALL THE FEELINGS YOU HAD DURING THE DREAM AND HOW YOU FELT WHEN YOU AWOKE FROM THE DREAM, ANY ASSOCIATIONS OR THOUGHTS ABOUT THE DREAM THAT COME UP UPON WAKING. CLEARLY DATE EACH DREAM (AND IF YOU CAN ALSO RECORD THE TIME THE DREAM OCCURED.) 4. TRANSCRIBE YOUR DREAMS NOTES INTO YOUR JOURNAL THE NEXT DAY, REREAD THEM, AND TAKE A LITTLE TIME TO "WORK" ON THE DREAM AND RECORD THE RESULTS. CREATE A PERSONAL DREAM SYMBOL LIST IN YOUR JOURNAL, LOG YOUR KNOWN AND UNKNOWN SYMBOLS THERE. 5. "ENCORAGE" YOUR DREAMS: OFTEN DURING THE DAY THINK ABOUT WANTING TO REMEMBER YOUR DREAMS AND WORK WITH THEM. TALK TO OTHERS ABOUT DREAMS AND/OR JOIN A DREAM GROUP. READ "GOOD" DREAM RELATED BOOKS. JUST BEFORE YOU FALL ASLEEP EACH NIGHT GIVE YOURSELF SUGGESTIONS THAT YOU WILL START REMBERING ALL YOUR DREAMS IN GREAT DETAIL. (YOU CAN "PRAY" FOR THAT TOO, IF THAT IS ACCEPTABLE TO YOU. (I HAVE A DREAM REMEMBER CASSETTE TAPE THAT CAN BE COPIED, IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED.) 7. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE INSTANT YOU AWAKE FROM THE DREAM, YOU RECORD IT AT ONCE !
